The Planet Earth series was shown in 2006 on the British television channel BBC One. It was the most expensive and time consuming nature documentary ever filmed with some of the most intimate shots and scenes of animals in their natural habitat ever seen. The footage of Earth’s most precious formations and compositions made this a visual treat for the millions who had the pleasure of watching it.
