The documentary Bulgaria’s Abandoned Children was released in 2007 and caused a state of condemnation within the international community as it revealed the diabolical living conditions of orphans in the Bulgarian’s State’s care whom had been abandoned by their parents because they had a disability. These children were seen as the out casts of Bulgarian society with no-one caring one bit for them.
